Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Reocclusion was frequently observed immediately after rt-PA treatment in acute cerebral infarction .This is a fatal problem, because anticoagulant therapy is prohibited within 24 hours after rt-PA (recombinant tissue-type plasminogen activator) treatment. We report the anti-clot growth effect of non-invasive ultrasound (US) in an in vitro clot growth model. The increase of clots’ weight was significantly suppressed in US group compared with Non-US group, the anti-clot growth effect was related with acoustic intensity. In this study, we showed that the non-invasive US would control the growth of thrombus. This safety and simplify US method may prevention of the stroke reocclusion.
