A Study on Edge Computing Architecture for Location-based Service in NDN

(in English) This paper addresses edge computing for location data which is obstained by Internet of Things (IoT) devices. A key motivation of the paper is that computation on edge routers reduces computation time and a traffic amount at core networks compared with those of cloud computing. This paper proposes a location-based forwarding wherein a computation request using location data is delivered to an appropriated edge router. The word “appropriate” means that the traffic amount of location data as an argument of the computation is minimized in core networks under the condition that no edge router is over loaded.
