A Study on Improvement of Identification Accuracy in Auditory BCI focusing on Movement Sound

(in English) Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI) is a technology for controlling external devices by using human brain activity.
In previous research, the BCI system of the intended direction estimation using the virtual sound was realized.
In this study, in order to investigate the influence of difference of presentation method of auditory stimulation on brain activity, we performed a direction discrimination task in six directions by various presentation methods (static sound and moving sound) and measured the brain wave of the subject.
Fisher's Linear discriminant analysis of incorporating regularization was carried out for classification.
The results showed that improvement was observed in the moving sound compared with the stationary sound although there was individual variation.
