In Japan, the number of people who requires care for disorders such as dementia is increasing year by year, and promotion of scientific long-term care have been important. To realize scientific long-term care, quantitative evaluation for the effects of care is necessary. In this research, as the method to evaluate the effect of care, we focused on the method called facial expression analysis, which we observe how facial parts move (= measure facial features) to estimate one's emotion. Then we propose facial expression sensing service which can automatically measure, record, and display facial features. Target facial features can be defined freely by caretakers. For using this service, users can obtain expression data more efficient, and users also can utilize their knowledge to realize "emotion analysis from subtle expression changes" and "explicable facial expression analysis" for their needs. |
