Regarding exclusive pedestrian phase -- Proposal of the DC-CSO scheme and ADS scheme --
Riku Sasaki, Takaaki Hasegawa, Humihiro Shmizu (Saitama Univ.) ITS2019-8
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This paper describes exclusive pedestrian phase traffic signals schemes' framework including both cycle/split/offset schemes and advanced demand signals (ADS) schemes. Firstly, the framework of traffic signals including exclusive pedestrian phase is constructed. Secondly, the ADS scheme, the DC-CSO scheme and the DC-CSO-M scheme for exclusive pedestrian phase traffic signals are proposed. Finally, these schemes' performances are compared, and results show that the DC-CSO scheme and the ADS scheme are superior.
