(in English) In recent years, Adaptive Streaming over ICN, which improves viewer’s quality of experience (QoE) by deploying adaptive streaming on an information-centric network (ICN), has attracted attention. The in-network cache in ICN helps to improve QoE because the cache reduces redundant traffic and makes efficient use of network resources. However, a bitrate adaptation algorithm of a viewer often overestimates the throughput. As a result, congestion occurs due to streaming bitrate that exceeds available bandwidth. The congestion causes a QoE degradation problem due to stall time for the viewer’s rebuffering. In this paper, we introduce congestion avoidance method using feedback control which sets the upper limit of playing bitrate to viewer’s bitrate adaptation algorithm according to in-network node’s cache information.
