Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) An 12-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) were invented more than 100 years ago, and they are still used as an essential tool to detect early heart disease. However, the number of electrodes in a 12-lead ECG is limited to nine, and it is not easy to simply model the electric potential due to the inhomogeneity of the human body, which causes a large estimation error on source localization problems. In this paper, we propose a method to improve the estimation accuracy by applying ensemble learning to the lead field matrix (LFM)-based localization method for cardiac source estimation using 12-lead ECG. The LFM was constructed by solving a forward problem based on the scalar-potential finite-difference method, and the cardiac source was localized by the matching pursuit method by LFM as the estimation algorithm. As a result, the estimation error for a single lead field matrix is 9.3 mm, and the method that applied ensemble learning is 6.7 mm, demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed method.
