A study on route selection methods in elastic optical networks distributed control

(in English) Elastic optical networks that allow flexible bandwidth allocation are attracting attention as a technology for more efficiently accommodating increasing traffic.
In previous studies, an elastic optical network using a distributed control method has been proposed, which enables flexible path setup according to the network conditions.
In addition, in distributed control elastic optical networks, there is a problem that the link to be used is biased when the Dijkstra method with distance weight is used for route search, and the request rejection rate of the whole network becomes high.
In this paper, we propose a route selection method that selects a suitable route from multiple candidate routes according to the situation in order to reduce the request rejection rate of the entire network by suppressing the bias of the link to be used.
As a result of the evaluation by simulation, it was clarified that the link usage rate bias was suppressed and the request rejection rate of the entire network could be reduced.
