Radiated emissions from electric devices are generally evaluated at a position where the maximum value is obtained in the electric field strength distribution. In order to determine the position where the maximum value is obtained in the electric field strength distribution, the measurement times for a standard radiated emission test are very long. We have studied a high-speed EMI measurement system using sampling frequency conversion as a measurement system that reduces the measurement time yet still maintains accuracy , and reported that the measurement intervals can be reduced to half-wavelength. In this study, in order to further reduce the number of measurement points, we did fundamental study on the optimization of the measurement position based on the sampling theorem. First, the electric field strength distribution measurement position according to the sampling theorem was formulated. Next, in order to feasibility study, the electric field strength distribution radiated from the double rigid horn antenna was measured. We could confirmed that the number of measurement points by the proposed method was greatly reduced to about 5.3% of the half-wavelength interval, and the deviation of the maximum electric field strength between the proposed method and the manual measurement was within +0.02 / -0.16 dB. |
