Experiments on Proximity-based Localization using PIR Sensors

(in English) We have conducted experiments on proximity-based localization based on non-geotagged sensor data using PIR (Passive Infrared Ray) motion sensors . The purpose of this study is to show that environment sensing is possible from non-geotagged data using the developed system. Each sensor transmits non-geotagged data to the parent device when it detects a person within the detection area. We considered a method to obtain information about a person passing through the observation area by using proximity-based localization method from the non–geotagged data. In addition, we show the effectiveness of the environment sensing through experiments using the real device.
