[Invited Talk] Lifelog Collection Experiments and Results With Device-to-Device Communications

(in English) We developed a lifelog collection system for elderly monitoring in depopulated areas which was reported in our previous paper. This system consists of three types of terminals, i.e., sensor terminal (s-terminal), collecting terminal (c-terminal), and management terminal (m-terminal). The s-terminal collects lifelog data at objectives’ homes. The c-terminal can be set in a moving car and it receives lifelog data when running within communication range of the objectives’ homes. Furthermore, the lifelog is forwarded to the m-terminal when the c-terminal enters the communication range of facilities where the m-terminal is in operation. By observing the variation of the collected lifelog data, it is available to get some clues about the objective’s health status. With the developed system, we have conducted field experiment in a mountainous village. This paper presents some results obtained from the experiment.
