RBCP:Fast Bulk data Collection Protocol with Multi-Path in WSN

(in English) With the increase in IoT devices in recent years, there has been increasing interest in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN). Existing WSN collect sensor values intermittently. However, if image data can be collected, the amount of information that can be obtained will increase dramatically, which is useful for monitoring natural disasters, etc. Image collection is difficult with Low Power Wide Area (LPWA) such as LoRa, which is often used in WSN. Therefore, we assume a Wi-Fi multi-hop environment. This paper proposes the Reliable Bulk data Collection Protocol (RBCP) in a Wi-Fi multi-hop environment. RBCP runs on UDP. RBCP supports multipath. RBCP realizes reliability and high-speed transfer by using the cache at the relay node. RBCP was implemented in C language and evaluated in a linear 4-hop network environment with 5 VMs. As a result, when the packet loss rate was 10%, the throughput of RBCP was about 6.9 times and 1.5 times higher than that of Hop-by-Hop TCP and the existing research DTSN+.
