(in English) In order to cope with a drastic increase in traffic, space-division multiplexing elastic optical networks (SDM-EONs) have been studied.
In the multi-core fiber environments, optical paths are affected by other optical paths transmitted in the same frequency slots of adjacent cores, and as a result, crosstalk is generated.
Crosstalk is a degrading factor in signal quality.
In this paper, we study a crosstalk-aware spectrum and core allocation method in Dense SDM-EONs, which is especially differentiated from conventional Coarse SDM-EONs in terms of higher transfer efficiency in many-core fiber environments, by introducing the concept of primary/secondary prohibited frequency slots.
