(in English) In recent years, envelope pulse width modulation has been devised for transmitters in wireless communications to meet many demands such as high efficiency power amplification, high linearity, and low distortion characteristics. However, within envelope pulse width modulation. Quantification noise is generated by the ΔΣ modulation of. As a method to easily remove this quantization noise, a power amplifier insertion type TF (PAI-TF: Power-Amplifier-Inserted Transversal Filter) was devised. High power efficiency can be obtained by switching the power amplifier with the pulse signal generated by the envelope pulse width modulation. In the TF section, signal synthesis is performed using a 180 ° hybrid. Signals using this 180 ° hybrid The synthesis method can improve the efficiency of the entire PAI-TF by collecting the quantization noise and returning it to the power supply. However, until now, the T junction has been used for signal synthesis to experimentally evaluate the PAI-TF. However, there is no example using a 180 ° hybrid. In this paper, we evaluate the experimental evaluation of PAI-TF using a 180 ° hybrid for signal synthesis from the viewpoint of filter characteristics and signal-to-quantization noise power ratio.
As a result of the experiment, the outline of the graph of the filter characteristics was close to the theoretical value. It was confirmed that the SN ratio was a good value by using TF.
