Study on appropriate idleSlope value for In-Vehicle Network with Credit Based Shaper
Kohei Hirano, Yoshihiro Ito (Nitech) IA2020-27
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This paper studies an appropriate value for idelSlope of Credit Based Shaper (CBS), which is a QoS control for the next-generation in-vehicle Ethernet, by simulation. In the experiment, the authors use fixed traffic with fixed frame length and fixed frame interval; they also use variable-length and variable interval traffic whose mean values equal to those of the fixed traffic. From the experimental results, the authors show that appropriate idleSlope values of two traffics which have different distributions of frame length differ from each other even if both of the mean frame length and mean frame intervals are the same.
