In the sound design of automobiles, the emphasis on low-frequency sounds may improve the excitement. However, as the order component of the engine is emphasized, resonance occurs in the vehicle, making it difficult to achieve both silence and emphasis. Therefore, in this study, we used distortion products as a method to hear the bass in the ear, and investigated the possibility of designing an engine sound that achieves both emphasis and silence of the low-frequency sound. The results suggest that low frequency design is possible by setting the presentation level appropriately. |
