Position Specifiable Interpolation GAN for Interpolation of Ground Penetrating Radar Images

(in English) By using ground penetrating radar, we can do nondestructive check the inside condition of the ground or a structure as an image. Since this image shows only the cross-sectional information under the measurement lines, we need to measure on many lines for checking detailed 3-D information of the inside. In this study, we propose an interpolation method for such a penetrating radar image for showing a dense information of the inside. Here, we adopt GAN for the interpolation. The proposed GAN can generate multiple internal images using the label corresponding to the interpolate position. We show the effectiveness of our method by showing several experimental results with simulated and real images.
