Quaternion neural networks for channel prediction including polarization states
Haotian Chen, Ryo Natsuaki, Akira Hirose (Tokyo Univ.) NC2020-64
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Fading channel compensation requires channel prediction because channels change in time. In this paper, we propose a fading channel prediction technique using quaternion neural networks (QNN) to predict the polarization states in combination with complex-valued neural networks (CVNN) to predict the amplitude and phase of diverse fading channels. We evaluate the performance of the proposed prediction technique in two different fading situations in an actual communication environment to find its superiority to conventional techniques.
