Fundamental Study on Effect of Surface Roughness of Contact Boundary and Torque Value on High-Frequency Characteristics of Connectors

(in English) Wear occurs on the contact surface due to sliding and vibration of the connector. This increases the contact resistance, which has been reported to cause effects such as degradation of signal transmission performance. On the other hand, since metals deform plastically, applying sufficient contact force to metals with rough contact surfaces has the potential to maintain the signal transmission performance. In this paper, we build an experimental setup that can control the contact resistance at the contact boundary and evaluate the characteristics of the transmission line including the connector. Using this setup, we aim to show the contact force required to suppress the degradation of signal transmission.
