A case study: Characteristics of discussions in video conferences where face-to-face and remote participants are mixed

(in English) With the spread of coronavirus infections, it is expected that more discussions will be conducted in remote video conferencing (hybrid video conferencing), which connects remote participants and participants at workplace．In this study, we analyzed behaviors of remote-and workplace participants’ discussions in hybrid video meetings in terms of amount of utterance and the number of nods, and also by interviews with the participants．The results suggest that remote participants tend to have difficulty in participating aggressively and understanding discussion topics in hybrid video discussions．On the other hand, it was noted that participants' personalities and agendas affected the results.
