A Teacher Support Method Using Vibration in a Hybrid-Flexible Classroom

(in English) In Japan, remote learning has been promoted for a long time, but it has
spread rapidly due to COVID-19. In universities, Hybrid-Flexible classes, in
which face-to-face and remote classes are combined, are being conducted. In
the Hybrid-Flexible class where teachers teaches both face-to-face and remote
students at the same time, it is difficult to teach both students in the same
way because there is a difference in the awareness of both students due to
the influence of presence awareness. There are some problems such as high
burden for teachers and miss questions of remote students. In this paper, we
proposed a method of vibration notification to teachers to support the
awareness of remote students, and examined its usefulness through
questionnaire analysis and video analysis.
