We are conducting research with the main purpose of quantitatively grasping the actual state of EMF exposure in daily life and examining the appropriate way of risk communications. In 2020, we reported the measured results of EMF exposure levels from mobile phone base stations, which are one of the main sources of exposure in the general environment. On the other hand, there is few studies on the EMF exposure in houses from mobile phone base stations. In addition, opportunities for data communications via wireless LAN in houses, etc., and it is necessary to evaluate EMF exposure levels of wireless LAN in houses. This paper describes the measured results of EMF exposure levels in houses using a personal exposure meter. As a result, it is confirmed that EMF exposure level in houses from the wireless LAN cannot be neglected because the levels are comparable with those from the mobile phone base stations. The EMF exposure level in houses are about 0.02 % or lower than the radio wave protection guideline limits. |
