The aim of this study is to develop a stabilization control method for 2-dimensional nonlinear film, which is one of the nonlinear distributed parameter mechanical systems, based on a blending method of discrete mechanics and nonlinear optimization. An optimal stabilization control problem of the nonlinear film is formulated as a finite-dimensional nonlinear programming problem, and the control inputs can be calculated as solution of the problem by the sequential quadratic programming method. Especially, the control method is extended to a model-predictive-type one for reduction of computation amount. A numerical simulation illustrates that vibration of the whole of the nonlinear film is suppressed by the actuators and then the nonlinear film is stabilized. Hence, the new control method is effective. |
