Measurement of Off-Axis Radiation Power from NGSO Communication Satellite Operating in the Space

(in English) This paper describes the measurement of the off-axis radiation power from a non-geostationary satellite orbit (NGSO) communication satellite operating in the space. The transmission direction of an NGSO satellite is assumed to be from space to the Earth. In order to measure the off-axis radiation power from an NGSO satellite, it is necessary to identify the satellite position and the off-axis angle apart from the main beam. In this paper, the measurement location (T) on the ground is assumed to be fixed. When an NGSO satellite locates on the line between T and the GSO satellite, the method is given to determine the point (U) on the ground to which the main beam of the NGSO satellite directs in such a way that the off-axis angle measured from the main beam of the NGSO satellite is set at a desired value. Similarly when the point U is given, the method is given to determine the position of the NGSO satellite in such a way that the off-axis angle measured form the main beam of the NGSO satellite equals to a desired value
