Face recognition is widely used in mobile devices and security gates due to its convenience. In recent years, face recognition methods using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) have become the most popular method, but the inference process is not clear. In this paper, we provide a novel analysis method and results for deep face recognition based on facial parts. A part of the face image, such as eyes, nose, and mouth, is masked based on the segmentation results estimated by the face parsing model. We demonstrate which facial parts are important in deep face recognition through experiments using masked face images. |
