In underwater optical wireless communication (UOWC), the position of the transceivers may fluctuate due to the influence of wave movement, which considerably affects the system performance. In this work, we consider a UOWC system that includes a fixed transmitter placed in the water and a moving receiver placed at the bottom of a vessel. To reduce the vessel motion effect, we propose to use the multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) technique and coding scheme. According to our numerical results, the proposed MIMO-UOWC system with repetition coding can significantly improve transmission performance. |
