[Poster Presentation] A Study on Inter-Symbol Interference Reduction for Downlink Asynchronous NOMA

(in English) Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) can achieve high transmission efficiency and accommodate massive connectivity by allowing multiple users to simultaneously share the same frequency resource.
However, the performance of NOMA is limited due to inter-user interference (IUI).
Asynchronous NOMA (ANOMA), which introduces intentional symbol offset between the multiplexed signals, attracts attention as an IUI reduction method on the downlink.
The disadvantage of ANOMA is that the symbol offsets is useless for the IUI reduction when orthogonal frequency division multiplexing is applied to compensate for inter-symbol interference (ISI).
In this presentation, we propose a method to effectively reduce ISI in downlink ANOMA based on single-carrier transmission.
The proposed method makes the IUI reduction due to the symbol offset effective by reducing the ISI by transmit spatio-temporal filtering.
In the proposed method, the receiver becomes simple and the cyclic prefix, which degrades spectral efficiency, is not required.
Simulation results show that the proposed method improves the capacity compared to OMA.
