In device simulation based on the non-equilibrium Green's function method, the calculation of the non-equilibrium space charge distribution, which requires matrix calculation, becomes a bottleneck. We propose a method to reduce the computational cost by applying the convolutional neural network (CNN). In particular, we describe a method for predicting the charge density distribution in the case of ballistic transport and a method for predicting the carrier density spectrum when scattering such as electron phonon scattering is taken into consideration. |
