Pill Bugs are known to exhibit alternating turnover responses, and their behavior has been experimentally analyzed. In this report, we will examine the incidence of alternating turnover responses in pill bugs by assuming the presence or absence of stimuli as environmental changes. In addition, in order to reduce the burden on the experimenter and increase the number of experiments in animal behavior observation, experiments and systems are being automated. In this experiment, we use a motion detection system based on image processing technology, which does not require learning data, to automatically count the number of individuals that show alternating turnover responses. |
