A coaxial to waveguide transition is used when signals are transmitted with low loss. When a large power is input to the coaxial to waveguide transition, heat is generated at the tip of the central conductor of the coaxial line inserted in the waveguide. This generated heat cannot be dissipated and the central conductor can become hot and burn out. In this paper, we proposed a coaxial line to waveguide transition with a 1/4 wavelength line. The one end of the 1/4 wavelength line is connected to the tip of the central conductor of the coaxial line inserted in the waveguide, and the other end of the 1/4 wavelength line is connected to the wall surface to improve heat dissipation. A frequency band in which a return loss is 20dB or more is 27.9% in the proposed coaxial line to waveguide transition. We have confirmed that the proposed transition has the same characteristics as the conventional transition. |
