A Study on Generation of Quasi-Zenith Satellite MICHIBIKI's Pseudo Positioning Signals

(in English) In recent years, the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) has become widespread throughout the world, providing information necessary to maintain our daily lives.
GNSS is used in car navigation systems and smart phones as a familiar example, but it originally played an important role in ship and aircraft navigation, and many IoT devices have recently been equipped with GNSS functions.
However, GPS, one of the GNSS, does not have data encryption and authentication due to its old signal specifications. Therefore, countermeasures against interference and deception have been discussed.
In this study, we examine the validation of the Specific Emitter Identification (SEI) technique, which identifies the characteristics of a target radio source originating from the same model.
Then, we attempt to generate a pseudo-positioning signal of the Quasi-Zenith Satellite System (QZSS) as a part of establishing security technology for GNSS.
