An Efficient Content Sharing for the User QoE Improvement in Mobile Cooperative Cache

(in English) In recent years, a load on base stations has been increasing due to an increase in the number of mobile users and a higher quality of video content. A distributed cooperative caching technique, in which each device runs as a cache server and shares the cache through device-to-device (D2D) communication, has been proposed to reduce the load of base stations. In addition, a method that subdivides content data into hierarchical one and uses a video coding scheme that can dynamically change a quality has been proposed. On the other hand, existing lightweight content placement methods don't consider to use the scalable video resolution and therefore cannot use cache capacity efficiently.
In this research, we propose an efficient content sharing that suits for the scalable video coding scheme. Our experiments show that the proposed cache control scheme increases the number of users who can continue to view content even in a network congested case resulting good user's QoE.
