It is very important to quickly and stably supply information communication infrastructure for video transmission to rescue teams and robots that support disaster areas. In conventional disaster area drone networks, multi-hop communication is performed via microwaves, so frequency utilization efficiency is poor and cannot be expected. The author has proposed a new network mechanism that constructs a broadband backbone networks using the millimeter wave band by efficiently flying multiple drone stations over the area to be monitored, taking a disaster area as an example. In this paper, the research activities so far will be revisited. Furthermore, remaining issues and future prospects will also be presented. |
