[Invited Talk] Simplified Finder for Bamboo Shoot in Agricultural Soil by Using Resonance Type of Electrodes

(in English) A concept of smart agriculture systems has been propounded to cope with the rapid aging of the population in the farming industry. Particularly, introduction of the new type of finder for the crops in the farm soil has been desired because the hand working to investigate the condition of the growing crops is a severe problem for aged farmers. Having this fact on mind, a finder using a resonance type of electrode has been proposed at UHF band. First, the complex permittivities of the bamboo shoot ant its skin were measured, and they were applied to the numerical analysis of the sensor of the bamboo shoot in agricultural soil. Next, the field test of the sensor was performed in this paper.
