A Fuzzy Logic-based Approach for Interface Selection in IEEE 802.11ad/IEEE 802.11ac Heterogeneous Wireless Networks

(in English) Currently, in order to meet huge traffic growth, heterogeneous wireless networks consisting of multiple wireless communication approaches are used to provide larger network capacities. In these heterogeneous wireless networks, network switching decisions play an important role in the continuity and stability of the user network. This paper proposes a fuzzy logic-based interface selection approach in heterogeneous wireless networks for fast interface selection. This approach makes interface selection based on real-time network information. The simulation and experimental results show that this approach can improve the switching efficiency by providing a faster switching speed and higher stability than the traditional method.
