Examination of ZVS of Secondary Side Resonant LC Converter Adachi Himawari, Sato Terukazu (Oita Univ.) EE2022-17 |

Current resonant converters have been used in various electronic devices such as power supply for servers, and display devices, because of the advantages of compact, lightweight, high efficiency, and low noise. Pulse frequency modulation (PFM) is typically used to control current resonant converters, however it has disadvantage that filter must be designed for the lowest switching frequency. In this regard, the control of a resonant converter by pulse width modulation (PWM) is considered. In this paper, zero voltage switching (ZVS) study of a secondary side resonant LC converter with duty cycle control is performed by simulation. As a result, it is found that ZVS is achieved over the entire range of duty cycle by higher switching frequency than resonant frequency. It is also found that the output voltage is regulated by experiment. |
