[Poster Presentation] Light Source Tracking System for A-QL based OCC

(in English) Visible light communication (VLC) has been getting more and more attention toward 6G, which aims to realize mobile communications under water and radio quiet zone.
Optical Camera Communication (OCC) uses a camera as a receiver in VLC, and is capable of detecting the direction of arrival and the shape of the source (luminous objects). When the source or receiver is in a moving environment, it is necessary to dynamically track the light source and identify its region of interest (ROI) in the image.
In this study, the transmitter employs A-QL format specified in IEEE 802.15.7 and the receiver side uses YOLO, a deep learning-based object detection algorithm.
This paper proposes modified transmission symbol format so that the receiver can detect A-QL symbols with adjusting its angle and orientation by YOLO.
Then we demonstrate a dynamic light source tracking system that enables stable communication even under the mobility environment.
