Visible light communication (VLC) has been getting more and more attention toward 6G, which aims to realize mobile communications under water and radio quiet zone.
Optical Camera Communication (OCC) uses a camera as a receiver in VLC, and is capable of detecting the direction of arrival and the shape of the source (luminous objects). When the source or receiver is in a moving environment, it is necessary to dynamically track the light source and identify its region of interest (ROI) in the image.
In this study, the transmitter employs A-QL format specified in IEEE 802.15.7 and the receiver side uses YOLO, a deep learning-based object detection algorithm.
This paper proposes modified transmission symbol format so that the receiver can detect A-QL symbols with adjusting its angle and orientation by YOLO.
Then we demonstrate a dynamic light source tracking system that enables stable communication even under the mobility environment. |
