[Poster Presentation] Performance Improvement of Distance Direction in Two-Dimensional Estimation of Arriving Angle and Distance by Compressed Sensing

(in English) In a multipath fading environment, a technique to estimate received signal at remote location has been studied. By the technique, received signal at a distant point beyond the correlation distance of the fading can be estimated. To realize the estimation, it is necessary to estimate the complex amplitude and source location of the multiple arriving multipath waves. For this estimation, we adopted the FISTA algorithm which is one of the compressed sensing techniques. However, by the existing FISTA, the distance estimation error of the arriving wave coming from distant sources increases because of the attenuation caused by the path length of the arriving waves. As the result, the wave source detection itself becomes difficult. To improve the estimation performance, we propose a method of decreasing the threshold value of the soft decision threshold function in the FISTA process in proportion to the distance of the wave source. This method has resulted in improved accuracy, especially in the distance estimation.
