Optical nonlinearity compensation using nonlinear equalizer based on complex-valued reservoir computing

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) We investigated a nonlinear equalizer based on complex-valued reservoir computing (CVRC) and compared the performance with that of real-valued reservoir computing (RVRC) by numerical simulations and experiments. We clarified that CVRC can reduce the number of reservoir-layer units by roughly half compared to RVRC.
