A study on Participation factor for nonlinear dynamical systems based on Koopman mode decomposition

(in English) The so-called participation factor analysis has been used to evaluate the relative contribution between state vari- ables and modes in linear time invariant systems. In this report, we consider its generalization that is applicable to nonlinear systems using the Koopman Mode Decomposition (KMD). Our approach is based on how the time response of an autonomous system is sensitive to the infinitesimal change of one state variable, and is related to the Lyapunov exponent and the theory of phase-amplitude reduction. By calculating the KMD-based participation factor for a solvable limit-cycling system, we compare the relevance and differences between our approach and the traditional concepts.
