A contact angle estimation method using two coplanar capacitive sensors of different sizes

(in English) In this paper, we propose a contact angle estimation using coplanar capacitors. To measure the shape of droplet on a chip, a difficulty is how to know the height of the droplet. A preliminary work proposed an estimation method using two types of capacitors. However, the preliminary work has a problem in accuracy due to spacing between capacitors. To solve this problem, we devise an estimation method by capacitors with different sizes. The proposed method is based on that the height where capacitance value saturates depends on the size of capacitor. We verify the proposed method by electromagnetic simulation.
