In this paper, we consider the design of controllers for discrete-time linear systems by sparse optimization. Sparse optimization minimizes the norm of a matrix and minimizes the number of nonzero elements in a particular column or row of the matrix. This sparse optimization problem is reduced to the LMI optimization problem. By solving an LMI optimization problem, it is possible to design sparse controllers, and it is expected that the number of sensors and actuators in cyber-physical systems will be reduced. |
