(in English) User-Plane on the mobile network is composed by Circuit Switched Network such as VC on ATM and GTP-U between base stations and User-Plane session anchors.
However, existing atchitecture is not suitable for the 5G new features such as edge computing and direct user equipment communications due to problem of scalability, stability, and ecnomicity.
We proposed SRv6 Mobile User Plane(MUP) that integrates 3GPP based mobile network with Segment Routing IPv6(SRv6), In order to solve these problems for edge computing and direct ue communications.
SRv6 MUP have stateless translation functionality between SRv6 and GTP-U by integrating 3GPP based mobile network Control-Plane to IP routing technologies.
In this talk, we explain the problem statement of existing network architecture towards 5G new features. After that we introduce how SRv6 MUP can solve these problems.
