Ship detection is one of the important applications of polarimetric synthetic aperture radar(SAR) images. In this study, we introduce sparse reconstruction error saliency into polarimetric SAR ship detection, and propose a polarimetric SAR detection method based on sparse reconstruction error saliency. We conduct experiments on two fully polarized SAR images from the ALOS-2 satellite, and demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method by comparing it with the CA-CFAR method at both object-level and pixel-level. |
