Downlink transmission performance for SU-MIMO in Local 5G System under the outdoor environment

(in English) In an environment where a local 5G wireless base station was installed on the roof of the research building of our university, the transmission characteristics of synchronous TDD and downlink data channel 4×4MIMO transmission were evaluated compared with SISO transmission. As a result, the received power characteristics were well agreed with the simulated values based on the ray tracing method at 32 points in the area and the actual measured values with a maximum difference of about 10dB. Regarding the transmission throughput characteristics, at a cumulative value of 50% from the cumulative distribution of transmission throughput values, the difference between the simulated value of SISO transmission is about 115Mbps and the actual measured value is 105Mbps, which is about 10Mbps. On the other hand, the difference between MIMO transmission is about 40Mbps between 380Mbps in the simulated value and about 420Mbps in the actual measured value. In addition, the effect of improving the transmission throughput of MIMO was about 3.3 times in the simulated value and about 4.0 times in the actual measured value, demonstrating a sufficient transmission throughput improvement effect in MIMO transmission.
