The price rising of rare metals such as nickel and cobalt have caused the demand increase of the lithium ion batteries consisting of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode. The LFP batteries have the state-of-charge (SOC) versus open-circuit voltage (OCV) profiles which are flat and hysteretic. It causes the problems in the middle of the error correction of SOC using OCV, therefore, the high-precision estimation of the state of charge (SOC) using Kalman filter is difficult. In this presentation, we show the analysis of this problem, the proposed method, and the verification of its effect. |
