The amount of the calculation cost of AI training increases exponentially, and this causes an increase in power consumption. We propose an Intelligent Connection (IConnect) Device which is the interconnect with AI processing capability mimicking biological synapse connection in brain. We investigated the possibility of applying the IConnect Device in which the electrochemical reaction of metal ions in ionic liquids plays an important role to the feature extraction of time series data. Nonlinear output signals reflecting metal precipitation and dissolution in the ionic liquid were obtained, and the performance of the reservoir calculation was confirmed. We discuss the applicability of this device to the interconnect technology where the information processing method changes depending on the surrounding environment based on the difference in electrochemical reaction at different temperatures like the learning of living organisms. |
