Estimation of Personality Traits from Gait

(in English) We attempt to estimate a person's personality characteristics from his/her gait pattern using a deep learning approach.
As the personality traits, we used a personality model called the Big-Five personality traits, which classifies human personality into five categories.
Using these as labels, we trained the model of a convolutional neural network with two-steps transfer learning.
Two-step training prevents the accuracy degradation due to the insufficient amount of training data and task differences.
As a result, most of the difficult personality traits were not learned because of the difficulty of the task in this study, or because the necessary features were not fully learned due to the insufficient number or bias of the population of data.
However, the results showed that the estimation accuracy of the honesty personality trait in the two-class problem was 67.26%.
