Interaction Model of Fake News and Corrections That Can Reflect Various User Characteristics
Takumi Sakiyama, Masaki Aida (TMU) IN2022-124
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) With the spread of social networking services, the problem of fake news is becoming more serious.
As a countermeasure, it seems effective to disseminate corrective information.
In reality, however, there are reports of cases in which the dissemination of corrective information has ironically increased attention to fake news and worsened the situation.
We have proposed a model for the interaction between fake news and corrective information in the case where the speed of information diffusion among users is determined by the nodal degrees, and investigated measures to prevent the activation of fake news.
In this paper, we investigate a model for the interaction between fake news and corrective information in the case where the speed of information diffusion among users is determined by various user characteristics.
