The choroid is a dense vascular layer located in the fundus. In recent years, clinical studies have shown an association between ophthalmic diseases and choroidal structure; thus, quantitative evaluation of choroidal structure is important for understanding disease mechanisms and progression. This study aims to quantitatively analyze the choroidal structure from three-dimensional optical coherence tomography (OCT) images of healthy and diseased eyes. In this paper, we proposed a choroid extraction method that integrates segment results extracted by a two-dimensional deep learning model for two directions. The experimental results shows that the proposed method achieved better performance than the extraction method using only one direction images. |
